    The 20 winning books of the Cuatrogatos Foundation Award 2015

    As a result of the research and evaluation of books for children and young people published in Spanish, the jury of the 2015 Cuatrogatos Foundation Award decided to award a set of 20 books that included albums, poems, short stories and novels. 

    The winning works were published by publishing labels based in Argentina (Alfaguara, Ediciones SM, Norma, Pequeño Editor), Chile (Amanuta, Ekaré Sur), Spain (A buen paso, Anaya, Edelvives, Ediciones SM, La Guarida, Impedimenta, Kalandraka, Thule), Mexico (Fondo de Cultura Económica / Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas, El Naranjo), and Uruguay (¡Más Pimienta!).

      Illustrated novel that recreates the days of the so-called "Revolution of the Penguins", which took place in Chile in 2006, when many students took to the streets or occupied their schools to protest against the educational system of their country. The book covers a week of the life of a group of young people through two narrative plans: a verbal one - the diary of Nicolás, one of the students who participates in the taking of a school - and the other graphic - in which we are Witnesses to the outward gaze of someone spying on the characters. With a novel theme, the work relates the process of maturation and social awareness of the protagonists.
