The 20 Winning Books of the Cuatrogatos Foundation Award 2018
To choose the winning books of the Cuatrogatos Foundation Award 2018, a readers committee read approximately 1,300 publications for children and young people from 188 publishers from 19 countries into consideration.
Among the 20 winning works are picture books, poems, short stories and novels that are part of the catalogs of the publishers from Argentina (Ediciones SM, Edelvives, Loqueleo Santillana), Chile (Editorial Amanuta), Colombia (Editorial Norma), Spain (A buen paso, Anaya, Apila Ediciones, Blackie Books, Edelvives, Ediciones SM, Ediciones Jaguar, Editorial Flamboyant, Narval Editores), and Mexico (Ediciones Castillo, Ediciones SM, Fondo de Cultura Económica).In this opportunity, in addition to awarding the 20 awards and highlighting 12 finalists, we distributed a list of 100 titles that are recommended for their literary and plastic values. The graphic image that identified the prize was created by the Argentine illustrator Ximena García.-
